Play chess, checkers, backgammon, reversi, four in a row, five dice and tic tac toe free in your browser, against the computer or a friend on the same device.

Most of the board games at the top of this page were built by the CrazyArcade team and run directly on our site. Chess follows the full rules, including castling, en passant and promotion, and has three computer levels. Checkers uses American rules with compulsory captures and multiple jumps. Backgammon shows the pip count for both sides and lets you undo a move before you confirm it. Reversi, Four in a Row, Five Dice and Tic Tac Toe complete the set, and every one of them can be played against the computer or by two people taking turns on the same device.
If you want a quick game, Tic Tac Toe and Four in a Row take a few minutes and teach the basic idea of most board games: look at what your opponent threatens before you make your own plan. Reversi and Checkers are a step up and reward thinking a few moves ahead. Chess and Backgammon are the deepest, and both have levels that are friendly to beginners. Five Dice is the most relaxed, since luck plays a bigger part and you can play it alone to chase a high score.
We have written strategy guides for several of these games: Chess for beginners, Checkers strategy, Backgammon for beginners, Reversi strategy and Four in a Row strategy. Each one explains the mistakes most new players make and the habits that fix them.
