Sudoku Grid builds a new 9x9 puzzle in your browser each time and checks that it has exactly one solution. Easy, Medium and Hard levels differ in how many numbers you start with, and a notes mode lets you write pencil marks. Mine Sweep is our version of the classic mine-finding game, where every number tells you how many mines touch that square.
Nonogram hides a picture in a grid that you uncover with row and column clues, in 5x5, 10x10 and 15x15 sizes. Killer Sudoku adds cages with sums to the normal Sudoku rules. Our guides explain how to solve nonograms and killer sudoku tips.
Both games can be solved by logic alone. Our guides explain how: Sudoku techniques covers singles, pencil marks and pairs, and Mine Sweep logic patterns shows the number patterns that tell you where mines must be.
The rest of the category has puzzle games from other developers, many of them based on physics or one clever trick per level, such as Jail Drop 3D and Put Out The Fire. Our guide to physics puzzle games explains how to approach them without endless trial and error.
No. Sudoku uses numbers as symbols. There is no adding or multiplying, only checking which numbers are missing from a row, column and box.
