Mine Sweep is our version of the classic minesweeper puzzle. The board is a grid of covered squares, and some of them hide mines. Opening a safe square shows a number that tells you how many of the eight squares around it hold a mine. Using those numbers, you work out which squares are safe and which ones to flag. The first click is always safe and opens an area, so you never lose on the first move. You can flag a square with a right-click, a long press, or by switching on Flag mode, which is handy on phones. Clicking a number whose flags are all placed opens the rest of its neighbours at once. There are three sizes: Beginner is 9 by 9 with 10 mines, Intermediate is 12 by 12 with 24 mines, and Expert is 16 by 16 with 40 mines. A mine counter and a timer help you track the game, and your best time for each size is saved. Our Mine Sweep logic guide covers the patterns that solve most boards.
