Our own word games

Word Guess is a five-letter word guessing game made by our team. You have six tries, and coloured tiles tell you which letters are right. There is a Daily Word that is the same for everyone and an unlimited mode for practice. Word Search hides themed words, such as animals, countries or sports, in a new grid each time, with three sizes from a relaxed 10 by 10 to a 15 by 15 grid where words run in every direction. Daily Mini Crossword has a new 5x5 puzzle every day, written by our team, plus an archive of every puzzle.

The rest of the category has games from other developers. Word Ladder asks you to change one word into another a letter at a time. Cosmic Hunt and Word Safari are themed word searches, and Picture and Word Match is a gentle choice for young readers who are learning to connect words with pictures.

Tips

For guessing games, start with words that test common letters such as E, A, R, S and T, and avoid repeating letters early. Our word guessing guide explains how to read the clues together. For word searches, scan for unusual letters like Q, Z or X first, since they appear less often in the grid.
