How to Play Word Guess
Word Guess is a five-letter word guessing game you can play online for free, made by the CrazyArcade team. A hidden five-letter word is waiting, and you have six tries to find it. Type any real English word of five letters and press Enter. Each tile then flips to show a color: green means the letter is in the word and in the right spot, amber means the letter is in the word but in a different spot, and gray means the letter is not in the word at all. Repeated letters are handled fairly, so a letter only lights up as many times as it appears in the answer. The on-screen keyboard keeps track of every letter you have tried, using the same colors, so you can see at a glance what is left. Words that are not in the game's list shake and are not counted as a try. If you use all six tries without solving it, the game shows you the answer. There are two modes. The Daily Word is the same for every player on a given date, and you get one attempt per day. Unlimited mode gives you a new random word whenever you like. Hard mode is optional: any green letter must stay in its spot and any amber letter must be used in your next guesses. Games played, win percentage, current and best streak, and your guess distribution are saved in your browser, separately for each mode.

Pro Tips to Win
- Start with a word that has several common letters and different vowels, such as CRANE or NOISE, to rule out many letters at once.
- Check the keyboard before each guess. Gray keys are not in the word, so avoid them unless you are deliberately testing other letters.
- An amber letter can be anywhere except the spot where it showed up. In Hard mode you must keep using it, so plan where it might fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the Daily Word the same for everyone?
A: Yes. The Daily Word is picked from the date, so every player gets the same word on the same day. A new one starts at midnight on your device, and the result screen shows a countdown to it.
Q: What happens if I skip a word in Unlimited mode?
A: Pressing New Word before you finish shows you the answer. If you had already made a guess, the word counts as a loss and your Unlimited streak goes back to zero.
