Play a free mini crossword online with a new 5x5 puzzle every day. Daily Mini Crossword has 36 original puzzles, and every grid and clue was written by the CrazyArcade team. Each puzzle has nine or ten short Across and Down entries built from common English words, so a solve usually takes a few minutes. The Daily Mini changes at midnight on your device's clock and follows a fixed order, so everyone playing on the same date gets the same grid. Click or tap a square to select it, then type. Tap the same square again, press Space, or use the Switch key to change between Across and Down. The current clue is shown above the grid, and on wider screens the full Across and Down lists sit in the side panel, where clicking a clue jumps straight to it. Letters advance through the word as you type, Backspace erases and steps back, the arrow keys move around the grid, and Tab or Enter moves to the next clue. An on-screen keyboard is included for phones and tablets. If you get stuck, Check marks every wrong letter in red, Reveal letter fills in the selected square, and Reveal word fills in the whole selected entry. Any reveal marks that solve as assisted, and the result screen says so. A timer runs while you play and pauses when you switch tabs or open the archive. When the last square is correct you see your time, your best time for that puzzle and your daily streak, which grows each day you finish the Daily Mini. The Archive lists all 36 puzzles with checkmarks, best times and puzzles in progress. Progress, best times and your streak are saved in your browser.
