Play Hangman online for free in your browser. Guess the hidden word one letter at a time using your keyboard or the on-screen keys. This is a friendly take on the classic: instead of a drawing of a person, a cartoon bear holds a bunch of balloons, and one balloon pops for every wrong letter. Solve the word before the last balloon pops. Correct letters turn green on the keyboard and wrong letters turn gray, so you can always see what you have tried. The word lists were written by the CrazyArcade team and contain 879 common English words in 17 categories: animals, fruits, vegetables, countries, sports, jobs, space, ocean, kitchen, weather, music, school, transport, colors, body, nature and clothing. Easy uses words of 3 to 5 letters and can be played with 8 balloons instead of 6. Medium uses words of 6 or 7 letters. Hard uses words of 8 to 14 letters and keeps the category hidden until you have lost three balloons. On Easy and Medium the category is shown from the start. There are three ways to play. The Daily Word gives everyone the same word of 5 to 8 letters each day, with 6 balloons, and your progress is saved if you leave and come back. Endless serves random words at your chosen difficulty without repeats during a session and builds a running score of 10 points per letter plus 5 points per balloon left; losing or skipping a word ends the run. Two Player mode lets one person type a secret word of 3 to 14 letters into a hidden field while the other person guesses. A Hint button reveals one letter for the cost of one balloon, but it cannot be used on your last balloon. Games played, win percentage, current streak and best streak are saved in your browser.
Type letters A to Z on your keyboard or tap the on-screen keyboard to guess a letter. Click Hint to reveal one letter for the cost of one balloon. Press Enter or Space to confirm buttons on the start and result screens, and Escape to close the result, statistics or two player setup screen.
A: Yes. The Daily Word is picked from a fixed list based on the date, so every player gets the same word on the same day. A new one starts at midnight in your local time.
A: This version keeps the classic rules but uses a family-friendly picture. A bear holds a bunch of balloons and one balloon pops for each wrong letter. You get 6 balloons, or 8 on Easy if you turn that option on.
A: Player 1 types a secret word of 3 to 14 letters into a hidden field while Player 2 looks away. Player 2 then guesses with 6 balloons, and the game keeps a tally of guesser and setter wins for the session.
