Rock Blaster is a space shooter made by the CrazyArcade team. You fly a small ship in a field of drifting rocks. Rotate left or right, thrust forward and fire. Your ship keeps its momentum and slows down only a little on its own, so steering takes some practice. Every edge of the field wraps around, which means anything that leaves one side comes back on the other, including you, your shots and the rocks. Each wave starts with large rocks near the edges. A shot splits a large rock into two medium rocks, a medium rock into two small ones, and a small rock is destroyed. Large rocks are worth 20 points, medium rocks 50 and small rocks 100. Clearing a wave gives a bonus of 100 points times the wave number. The next wave has one more large rock (up to 12) and every rock moves a little faster. You can have six shots on screen at once. You start with 3 lives. Touching a rock costs a life, and after a short pause your ship returns to the center, blinking and safe from hits for 2.5 seconds. Destroyed rocks sometimes leave a pickup worth 50 points. The cyan S is a shield that lasts 10 seconds and absorbs one crash. The amber 3 gives triple shot for 10 seconds. Your best score is saved in your browser.
