How to Play Pyramid Solitaire
Play Pyramid Solitaire online for free in your browser. Twenty-eight cards are dealt face up into a pyramid of seven rows, and the other 24 cards form the stock. Your goal is to clear the pyramid by removing uncovered cards in pairs that add up to 13. Aces count as 1, Jacks as 11, Queens as 12, and Kings count as 13, so a King is removed on its own. A pyramid card is uncovered once both cards that overlap it in the row below are gone. Turn stock cards one at a time onto the waste pile, and the top waste card can be paired with any uncovered pyramid card. Choose between two modes on the start screen. Classic gives you three passes through the stock, so it can be recycled twice. Relaxed lets you recycle the stock as many times as you like. You score 5 points for every pyramid card you remove and 25 points for each pyramid row you empty. Clearing the whole pyramid adds a bonus of 500 points, minus 100 for every pass after the first, with a minimum of 100. The panel shows your score, your best score for the current mode, the passes left and the time. If no pairs remain and the stock cannot be turned again, or no card left in the stock or waste can match an uncovered pyramid card, the game ends and offers Undo or a new deal. Tap or click a card to select it, then tap its partner to remove both. Tap the stock to turn a card. The Hint button highlights a valid pair, a King or the stock, and Undo takes back moves one at a time. Keyboard shortcuts cover drawing, undo and hints. - In Classic mode the clear bonus drops by 100 points for each pass after the first, so try to clear the pyramid early.
