Number Slide is a number-merging puzzle made by the CrazyArcade team. The board is a 4 by 4 grid of tiles. Every time you slide, all the tiles move as far as they can in that direction, and two tiles with the same number join into one tile worth double. After each move a new 2, or less often a 4, appears in an empty space. The merged value is added to your score, so bigger merges are worth more. The game ends when the board is full and no slide can join anything. When you build the big target tile, the game asks if you want to keep going, so you can stop there or push for a higher score. There is no timer, which makes it a relaxed puzzle you can play at your own pace. It works with the keyboard or with swipes on a touch screen, and your best score is saved in your browser. Our Number Slide strategy guide explains the corner method most strong players use.
